Anette Petermann - Fashion at SAAB Showroom Berlin
For a few days designs by fashion designer Anette Petermann were showcased in the SAAB Showroom at Kurfürstendamm.
During the recent Berlin Fashion Week you could see the close connection of fashion and automobiles - not just because Mercedes-Benz organized the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin.
“the creative process of designing a car’s exterior and interior is similar to designing clothes as a fashion designer”. A statement which is quite frequently used by car manufacturers in order to create an image of a car being something similar to an exclusive dress. During last fashion week several car manufacturers took the chance of inviting fashion designers to exhibit their creations in the car companies showrooms. Bernadett Penkov for example showed some of her designs at Bentley Store Unter den Linden. Exclusive fashion in combination with exclusive cars - a mixture which worked quite well.
Few days ago some designs of well known Berlin fashion designer Anette Petermann were shown at the SAAB Showroom at Kurfürstendamm 100. SAAB is a car maker whose designs are admired by design lovers all over the world.
Not only since the last season of Germany’s Next Topmodel by Heidi Klum where you could follow the adventures of Christina Leibold, Carolin Ruppert, Gina- Lisa Lohfink, swiss discovery Raquel Deborah Alvarez and of course the eventual Germany’s Next Topmodel winner Jennifer Hof during some photo shoot in New York, where they wore the designs of Anett Petermann and had to deal with small animals as accessoires what didn’t make their task easier. We all remember Gisele Oppermann who again had trouble behaving like someone who is about to make a living in fashion industry. Some moving pictures of this GNTM episode can be found at www.anette-petermann.de - the fashion designer’s website.
Anette Petermann has a long and impressing curriculum vitae as a fashion designer. Besides of collaborations with fashion houses like Nino Cerruti, Paco Rabanne, Louis Ferraud, Emanuel Ungaro and Ermenegildo Zegna, she as well created clothes which added some fashion feel to the adverts of brands like Rolex, Shiseido, Sony Ericsson and Douglas.
The clothes which were exhibited at SAAB Showroom perfectly fitted into the design heavy atmosphere and you could encounter a perfect symbiosis of fashion, design and the art of manufacturing cars.
