Bernadett Penkov goes Shanghai

Bernadett Penkov will show her designs during the upcoming SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL CREATIVE INDUSTRY WEEK (SICIW).

From november 15 till 21 2007, the Berlin design initiative CREATE BERLIN will present Berlin’s creative szene which without a doubt includes Bernadett Penkov, in the asian design world. During the “CREATIVE SPREE” show the fashion of the Berlin designer will be presented on the design and lifestyle oriented stage.

SICIW which draws some overall attention from all parts of society including representatives and decision makers from culture, politics and economy, is the perfect plattform for the label’s international presentation in asia. Harald Wolf, senator for economy technology and women in Berlin will be the patron of „Creative Spree“.

Shanghai as some door opener to the asian market is consequence of Bernadett Penkov’s target to achieve some strong international presence of the Berlin label. Being part of “Creative Spree” during the Shanghai expo shall open up new markets and allows her to get in touch with important buyers.

Bernadett Penkov is the two times winner of the Moet & Chandon Fashion Debut and designed, besides of Christian Lacroix and Karl Lagerfeld, some outfit for the Blythe puppet. The puppets were exhibited in Berlin (Galeries Lafayette), Paris and Tokyo and later auctioned for charity. During London Fashion Week in september 2007, Bernadett Penkov had her first own international show. The first Penkov Store was opened on october 20th in Berlin. (Link to our report of the event)
