“In November Club To Club, a festival of electronic music and arts which is one of the most important festivals in Italy, strengthens the role of Torino as national capital city of contemporary arts, while interacting with the network of events and exhibitions strongly supported by the local governments, in the Torino - Piemonte Contemporary Arts month.
In its three intense days and nights the programme will feature international shows and productions, some of them being exclusive for Italy, with artists, dj’s, musicians, video artists, performers, chosen amongst the main innovators in the world scene, who will perform in clubs and original locations, involving different styles of music and life.

The Festival will open on Thursday 8th November with a special invitation-only “gala” event with a glamour and experimental flavour, in collaboration with International Fair of Contemporary Art Artissima (http://www.artissima.it), thanks to its new director Andrea Bellini and his will to dialogue and interact with Club to Club even more than in the past. The party is made with the add of another important partnership: MySpace Italia (http://www.myspace.com).

As usual, the second day’s programme will be very rich: in the night of Friday 9th November, a circuit of Turinese clubs and venues, connected thanks to local public transports company GTT providing free buses on Friday night, will feature at the same time some of the biggest and most interesting names in the current dance/electronic scene.
The venues already confirmed for Torino are Hiroshima Mon Amour (via Bossoli 83 - http://www.hiroshimamonamour.org), Jam Club (Murazzi del Po 19 - http://www.jamclubbing.com), Spazio 211 (via Cigna 211 - http://www.spazio211.com) e Supermarket (Viale Madonna di Campagna 1, angolo via Stradella - http://www.supermarket.to.it).
Also, after the first positive experience in 2006 -when the Festival started its “Club Europa” initiative, linking itself with Berlin and the Watergate club-, this year Club To Club will also happen in Barcelona at clubs Loft and Lolita (http://www.salarazzmatazz.com).
On Friday night Club To Club will simultaneously take place in Torino and Barcelona, the latter having notoriously been for years now one of the most happening places for music and design. Artists and projects from the Catalan city will be part of the Torino programme, while a selection of Italian artists will perform in the two Barcelona clubs.
Thanks to the collaboration of Piedmontese project Wi-Pie (http://www.wi-pie.org), a live video streaming of all involved clubs will be running online and in the clubs themselves.

On Saturday 10th November, as a sort of preview for Torino 2008 World Design Capital (http://www.torinoworlddesigncapital.it), Club To Club will organize at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (via Modane 16 - http://www.fondsrr.org) the workshop “The City Never Sleeps” on the relationship between sound design and urban flexibility on Saturday 10th November, made with the help of Milan’s IED Sound Design (http://www.ied.it).
Finally, another new important and “mysterious” event will take place in the night of Saturday 10th November.ÊDedicated to the moving connection between electronic music and contemporary arts, it will be the last chapter in Club To Club’s 7th edition programme.

The 7th edition of Club To Club will widen its musical range and open up even more towards experimental music, thanks to names like Finland’s Mika Vainio of Pan Sonic, with an exclusive dj set, and Vladislav Delay, American living legend William Basinski with an exclusive live performance, and Irish project Fovea Hex, whose frontwoman Clodagh Simonds has gained the attention of the likes of Brian Eno, Underworld and David Lynch, performing for the first time in Italy (together with Turinese act Larsen).
At the same time, the Festival keeps on focusing on the historical, current and future dance/electronic music: confirmed so far are acts like master of Detroit techno Jeff Mills, eccentric Chicago house music artist Green Velvet, Canadian innovator Akufen, but also upcoming German stars Digitalism.
Other international acts in the festival’s programme include Stefan Goldmann (Germany/Bulgaria), Onur Ozer (Turkey), Kalabreseand theRumpelorchestra (Switzerland), Troy Pierce (Canada), D-I-R-T-Y Sound System featuring Piloosky (France), Undo (Spain) and Tobi Neumann (Germany).
Amongst this edition’s new elements there’s also a special partnership with Meganite (http://www.meganite.co.uk), Mauro Picotto’s club project which, together with constantly going around the globe, has just completed with ever-growing success its fourth summer season at Ibiza’s Privilege.
More acts are going to be confirmed in the next days. A surprise guest for the Thursday “gala” event will be announced a few days before the Festival’s start.
Club To Club 2007 will also keep on supporting the PiemonteGroove project (http://www.piemontegroove.com), while featuring some of the best artists in the local dance/electronic scene.

The festival’s preview, “Viva Club To Club”, will take place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October and will feature French dj/producer Agoria at Jam Club in the night of Friday 26th.”
