Dernier-Cri at Berlin Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2009
During the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week many designers and labels present their collections in Berlin - one of them is Dernier-Cri.
The Vienna based womens wear label Dernier-Cri was founded by Anna and Alexander Sova march 2006 after working for the Brasilian fashion Designer Marcello Sommer.
In April 2006 they presented their first S/S 06 collection Icons at Alten AKH Vienna and in June 2006 Dernier-Cri showed their second A/W 06/07 collection Dernier-Cri at the Vienese Art Gallery Knoll.
On the 3rd of February 2007 Dernier-Cri opened their showroom shop “Maison” at Kirchengasse 40/1 1070 Vienna.
In March 2007 the two Fashion Designers were nominated for the Ringstraßen Gallerien Designer Award 07 and got the possibility to present their A/W 07 08 collection Dernier-Cri.
On the 29th of march 2007 Dernier-Cri presented their cooperation art project with Roberta Lima cut it out, a body and video installation, at art gallery Kapelica Laibach. The installation was exposed at Kapelica from the 29 of march to the 15th of april 2007. In May of the same year a mens wear editorial with starmodel Werner Schreier got produced (model for the Hugo Boss campaigns in the 90ies) for first magazine, where he presented Dernier Cris mens wear collection.
From the 13th to the 15th of July 2007 they presented their new S/S 08 collection at Ideal Showroom during the IMG Berlin Fashion Week. After their return to Vienna, they produced the art fashion short film White Air for Diane Pernet’s second edition of “You wear it well”.
In September 2007 Dernier-Cri produced together with Bettina Köster, singer and saxophone player of Malaria (80ies avant-garde industrial band) a music and video installation called Sound of Fabrics which got presented for one night at Café Moskau in Berlin.
From the 28th of february to the 2nd of march Dernier-Cri presented their new A/W 08/09 collection MAISONMAISONMAISON at Showroom Zip-Zone Montaigne.
The young Viennese label has quite a history and during Berlin Fashion Week spring/summer 2009 Dernier-Cri’s designs will be presented by Temporary Showroom Berlin.
