Electric Daisy Carnival - Now for 2 days!
Electric Daisy Carnival will become the Coachella of electronic music this year, when it finally expands to two days from June 26 till June 27.
65.000 people attended last years event and this time more than 100.000 people are expected, when North America’s largest electronic music gathering will return for its second run at the LA Memorial Coliseum & Exposition Park in downtown Los Angeles Friday, June 26 with Paul Oakenfold, ATB, Eddie Halliwell and Boyz Noise and Saturday, June 27 with Fatboy Slim, Paul van Dyk, David Guetta, Benny Benassi and Roger Sanchez.
EDC has hundreds of additional artists still to announce that will be placed throughout five stages, along with a mind-blowing array of attractions, more full-size carnival rides than ever before and an intensely surreal assortment of art installations and performers. With six themed areas of music, art and festivities, this will be a truly special ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 21 and will be available online via www.insomniac.com and www.electricdaisycarnival.com as well as at select independent retail outlets. Two-day packages as well as individual tickets for each day will be available. Sell-out crowds are anticipated so early purchase is suggested. VIP packages will be announced at a later date.
Founded by Pasquale Rotella of Insomniac Events in 1996, ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL has become a staple of West Coast electronic music culture. For the last 12 years, many major staples of the genre have performed at the event including Moby, Above & Beyond, Infected Mushroom (live), John 00 Flemming, Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, Cedric Gervais, Deslyn Masyello, Mark Farina, Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kutz, Pendulum, Ferry Corsten, Junkie XL, Sandra Collins, Jurassic 5, Ozomatli, VHS or BETA, Uberzone, Christopher Lawrence, Adam Freeland, Sander Kleinenberg, Rennie Pilgrim, Bassnectar, Armand Van Helden, Z-Trip, Rabbit In The Moon, BT, The Freestylers, Todd Terry, Harry Choo Choo Romero and Joey Beltram.
Over the years, there have been many unique venues in Southern California that have played host to EDC including the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach, Lake Dolores Waterpark in Barstow, Hansen Dam in Los Angeles and Tulare. Insomniac Events have also brought the festival to other states including Colorado and Texas. On June 13, EDC will return for its second annual turn in Denver.
In addition to ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL, Insomniac Events also produce such electronic music festivals as Together As One, Nocturnal Wonderland, How Sweet It Is and Audiotistic, as well as Tiësto In Concert which sold out the LA Sports Arena with a 15,000 capacity.
