FAIR FASHION AFFAIR BERLIN
The Fair Fashion Affair presents fashion with social attitude and environmental conciousness taking place October 18 - 20, 2007 at ZurMoebelFabrik in Berlin .
It shows the potentials of ethical fashion and inspires designers, deciders and consumers by showing examples of brands, projects and initiatives. On the program are an exhibitionevent with fashion performances, a forumdiscussion and workshops.
The ethical fashion movement is influencing mainstream fashion industry worldwide, not without consequences. Large brands are taking organic in their collections or sharpening their policies, and get themselves a better image. Meanwhile it is necessary to operate on a grassroots level on new projects, support initiatives, smaller labels, and young designers with a vision. We ask organizations, media and labels to put the issue more on their agendas and promote it actively and openly.
The Fair Fashion Affair aims to spread awareness on the issue of clothing production, organic and fair trade clothing, and influence the fashion scene on a grassroots level. The Fair Fashion Affair promotes the consumption of organic and fair trade clothing in Berlin, creates a podium for smaller ethical fashion labels and designers and gives impulses to a network of ethical fashion brands, stimulating new initiatives and forms of cooperation.
