Festival Of Lights 2007 - pictures

Tonight was the opening of this year’s Festival Of Lights in Berlin.

While the electricians at Kurfuerstendamm start to hang up the christmas lights which will again illuminate the mile long boulevard in Berlin, a big part of the population was walking and driving around town to take a look at the many sights which get lit in the most colorful way during the Festival Of Lights from october 16 till october 28.

This special event draws the attention of people from around the globe and you could see camerateams from foreign countries film at the opening ceremony which took place at Alexanderplatz with it’s tv towers.

Some great lasershow supported by classical music and fireworks was the fascinating highlight of the opening ceremony. The crowd was overwhelmed and cheered to the great show which was the highlight on this first night of two weeks of cultural activities which accompany this first highlight of the Berlin “winter” season.
