Germany´s Next Topmodel 2008
The next edition of Heidi Klum´s TV show “Germany’s next Topmodel” will kick off on the 21st of February 2008.
Barbara Meier, the winner of last year´s edition, had the chance to take part in Anett Röstel´s catwalk show during Berlin Fashion Week 2007 (photo).
This time altogether 18.217 young women have applied to Germany’s next Topmodel 2008 and have to prove their skills during the catwalk shows and photo shootings. Heidi Klum, IMG-Agent Peyman Amin and casting director Rolf Scheider will decide for whom the dream of a modeling career comes true.
In each sequence of the TV show Germany´s next Topmodel, Heidi Klum will invite another professional from the fashion industry to become a member of the jury: a topmodel, a photographer like Kristian Schuller, a professional from the media as COSMOPOLITAN editor in chief, Petra Gessulat, or a designer.
Dita von Teese, ex-girlfriend of shock rocker Marilyn Manson, will support the candidates during the photo shoots and will become a jury member as well.
Miss J, the “mother of all catwalk coachs” from the US original edition “America’s Next Topmodel”, will organize a special training for the candidates.
Rolf Scheider, casting agent for international advertising spots, follows in the footsteps of Bruce Darnell as a jury member.
Peyman Amin is booker of the worldwide largest agency IMG and supervises the likes of Heidi Klum, Mischa Barton, Laetitia Casta, Naomi Campbell and Milla Jovovich.
Germany’s next Topmodel will be broadcasted on the 21st of February 2008, every Thursday at 8.15 p.m. on German TV channel ProSieben.
