GERMANY’S NEXT TOPMODEL EPISODE 2
Tonight it was time for another edition of Germany’ Next Topmodel by Heidi Klum.
As more and more girls have to leave the contest at the end of each day this time there were new challenges waiting to divide the good from the bad and finally find the one and only who’ll be this season’s Germany’s Next Topmodel.
As the first task of the day a catwalk was waiting for the girls at Cologne’s Rudolfplatz which is located in the heart of the city. In the morning Rolf Scheider and Peyman Amin had shown up at the hotel to pick up the girls. They made them get dressed in five minutes and change from their casual dresses to bikini, bathrobe and high heels which was kind of stressfull, as five minutes actually isn’t a big amount of time.
At Rudolfplatz, Heidi was waiting in the warmth of some Volkswagen van, dressed winterly in a long coat, due to the outside temperatures of 41 degrees fahrenheit or 5 degrees centigrade. The girls weren’t so lucky as they had to wait in their bathing suits for their entrance. The shooting lasted 20 minutes and the girls had to walk on a red carpet and pose in front of the photographer. Many of them weren’t that supple which is quite understandable due to the temperatures.
20 minutes lasted the event for the remaining 30 girls before they could get back to the hotel, sitting inside a bus, while Heidi confronted them with some harsh comments about their - in her eyes - not that professional behavior.
Getting warmed up, they did some setcard shooting in the afternoon and it was again time for Boris Entrup, the make up artist for the show, to let them look perfect. Again it was this magical number 5, not degrees but minutes this time, that they were given to pose in front of the camera and give their very best. Making comments every now and then, the photographer and Heidi remained in relative silence, cause it was the girl’s task to decide on which pose would suit them best in front of the camera.
After all Heidi again wasn’t that much satisfied, because some of the girls didn’t seem to be overly motivated, though the perfect set card is one of the most important things for a model. Sadly enough one of the girls had to leave the contest as her mother was severely ill and she had to go and look after her.
At the end of this day it was again Heidi’s task to present the results of the elimination round to the girls - to divide the good from the bad.
