Global Fashion Festival 2007
Berlin´s edition of the “Global Fashion Festival” will take place this weekend (August 18+19).
According to the organizers, B.C.E.M. Berlin City Eventmanagement GmbH & Co.KG, 20 international fashion designers and labels from Austria, Poland, Switzerland and the Ukraine, as well as German designers from Hamburg and Berlin will present their creations on the “largest European open air fashion show” at Wittenbergplatz near Kurfuerstendamm. The fashionshow is accompanied by a multicolored street festival.
Besides of the fashion show there will be the “GLAMOUR Stiletto Run” on Saturday (12:30am) at Bayreuther Straße with 100 women running in their high heels doing a 100 meter distance to win a shopping voucher. Sonya Kraus will moderate the run while Bruce Darnell and GLAMOUR´s editor in chief Nikolaus Albrecht will be part of the jury. A Gala show including a buffet and an after show-party at MAXXIM on Saturday evening will be the highlight of this event, which is supported by Berlin´s mayor Klaus Wowereit.
