Günter Scharein - Sinfonie in Gelb
From February 27 until April 11 the Dussmann KulturKaufhaus presents the exhibition “Sinfonie in Gelb” (Symphony in Yellow) by Günter Scharein.
The bright color yellow is the focus of his works that consist of a large number of tiny acrylic color spots.
The partly large scaled images and tryptichons deliver a concentrated energy. During exclusive tours through his exhibition Günter Scharein will give background information on his work and will explain, among other things, why the color yellow is an extraordinary challenge for any painter. During the opening of the exhibition on February 27, 7 p.m. Edzard Reuter, the longtime Daimler-Benz boss, will read a chapter from his book “Der schmale Grat des Lebens. Begegnungen und Begebnisse” (The narrow ridge of life. Meetings and events” about his long friendship with the painter. Afterwards Edzard Reuter and Günter Scharein will talk with the journalist and publicist Prof. Wilfried Rott.
