HANNAH MONTANA: THE MOVIE coming soon
Soon we’ll be able to see Miley Cyrus in HANNAH MONTANA: THE MOVIE as Walt Disney Pictures just announced that they started the production.
Miley Cyrus is to be seen as “Hannah Montana” in her first big movie role. The movie adventure which is desperately awaited by millions of fans is currently being shot in and around Nashville and Los Angeles and is scheduled to hit US theaters in spring of 2009.
Based on the tv series director Peter Chelsom (SERENDIPITY, SHALL WE DANCE) and author Berendsen ("Twitches", “The Initiation of Sarah") bring the musical film adventure to the big screens. In Disney Channel’s success series “Hannah Montana” Miley Cyrus is having two exciting lives: at daytime she attends high school as Miley Stewart and at night she performs as “Hannah Montana” on world’s concert stages and wins the hearts of her fans. Only her family and close friends know about her mysterious second identity.
On board are her acclaimed tv colleagues Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Mitchel Musso, Moises Arias and Billy Ray Cyrus. Appearing as well are Melora Hardin, Margo Martindale, Barry Bostwick, Peter Gunn, Lucas Till and Vanessa Williams.
In HANNAH MONTANA: THE MOVIE, Miley Stewart’s sensational success as Hannah Montana seems to outgrow. Her father finally persuades her to travel to her hometown Crowley Corners to reflect about the things that really matter in her life.
The movie adventure is the first project of Disney’s production company “Millar/Gough Inc.” of the successful producers duo Miles Millar and Alfred Gough. Recently the two were authors for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Spider Man 2 and Shanghai Noon. As producers of Smalville which already runs for the 8th season they are very successful.
David Blockner ("Don King: Only In America”, INTO THE WILD), Michael Poryes and Steve Peterman will be the producers. David Hennings (BLUE CRUSH) will be the camera man, Carolina Hanania (SERENDIPITY, SHALL WE DANCE) is the procudtion designer, and Christopher Lawrence (FINAL CALL) will design the costumes. Virginia Katz (DREAMGIRLS) will take care about the cut and Jamal Sims (HAIRSPRAY, STEP UP, STEP UP 2: THE STREETS) is the choreographer. Grammy winner Alan Silvestri (CAST AWAY, FORREST GUMP) does the film music.
Miley Cyrus recently completed the work on her new solo album which will be released in July on Hollywood Records and will be heard as one of the voices in the Disney Pictures movie BOLT.
