If You Want To Hear Something Just Yell - the photographs…
Yesterday night we went to check out the opening of the exhibition If You Want To Hear Something Just Yell at Gallery Neurotitan, located inside Haus Schwarzenberg at Hackescher Markt, Berlin.
Rich Jacobs (USA) & Julia Schonlau (Germany) set up some highly interesting exhibition at the gallery with works by the following artists: Jim Avignon, Melinda Beck, Albert Bertolin, Erica Borboa, Irene Cho, Chrigel Farner, James Gallagher, Daniel Givens, Julia Guther, CX Huth, Jordin Isip, Rich Jacobs, Juju’s Delivery, Jan Kruse, Andrew Kuo, Matt Leines, Mawil, Neckface, Patrick Roacha, Rinzen, Juan Varela, Eric White, Josh Wildman, Tobin Yelland.
The artists involved see their personal roots in the subculture of punk, skateboarding, comic and graffiti. In an international exchange, Julia Schonlau and Rich Jacobs bring those people together with music being the element which connects the various styles shown at gallery Neurotitan. Music is an important factor, especially in the subcultures and therefore an ideal means to express yourself.
After it’s surely successful stay in Berlin the exhibits will go to the US for the second part of this great event. The numerous exhibits are very interesting over all and a must if you come to check out Berlin. There will be several nights where bands and djs perform to make this some 3-D encounter.
If you find the time - and i advise you to find it - be there!
If you wanna see some of last night’s pictures go to our gallery. Naturally we did some video of the various things we saw and will see this weekend.
