The Berlin designer Ilka Brand discovered her love for accessory design while studying in Milan and working for Designers like Preen and J.Maskrey in London. One and half years after her graduation from the FHTW Berlin and after working in the fashion industry, she decided to start her own label.
The first collection of Lapàporter handbags was presented in New York during New York Fashion week in September 2007.
