Loco Dice - 7 Dunham Place
Loco Dice´s debut album titled 7 Dunham Place will be released on Desolat on May 11th 2008.
The atmosphere and the charm of New York has already inspired a lot of musicians just as it recently inspired Loco Dice, one of the most respected and revered DJs on the German circuit, while producing the album.
“7 Dunham Place” is named after the address of the studio loft in the “Big Apple” and gives a personal insight into the time that Loco Dice spent in New York together with his studio partner Martin Buttrich.
Each track is like a day in his NY expedition and reflects his experiences, impressions and above all his emotions: It’s an album that re-imagines the soul of a city, built from careful observations of urban tribes that crisscross and sometimes clash, of minute details and sensory impressions. From the two guys at the local deli who’re always on the verge of fighting over football results or presidential candidates, to the tattooed lady couple who sell the morning soul food, all find their way into this cohesive collection of tracks which breathe deeply, and as they exhale, tell a story.
