London Fashion Week 2008 - On|Off

For the 9th season On|Off is presenting the best of british up and coming designers. This season’s event is more than ever supportive to all the participating labels and designers cause the organizers are providing the public with some full blown multimedia coverage of the event. You can watch some videostreams of the catwalks on their website and they even have their own island in virtual life where you can meet up. On|Off is where fashion finally meets web2.0 to it’s fullest extent.

On|Off means 2 Catwalk arenas, designer exhibition, VIP & Press lounge, Viewing Lounge and featured artists. The Royal Academy of Arts is the hot spot during London Fashion Week why even Anna Wintour previously showed up. If you browse through their website you will discover some very thoughtful organized event, starting with the ticket designs to the decoration of the location to the presentation of the runway shows at the venue and online.

Showcasing their collections at On|Off this season are Sinha Stanic, Jasper Conran, Bërubë, Wildlifeworks, JSmith Esquire, Afshin Feiz, Christoforos Kotentos, Bernard Chandran, SpijkersenSpijkers, Deryck Walker, White Suede, Penkov, Sado, Louise Amstrup and On|Off’s very own catwalk show for exhibition designers, On|Off presents…featuring Delphine Wilson, Richard Sorger, Rizvi Millinery, Steph Aman, Vidler & Nixon and Yuchi.

As we are always on the hunt for the new we’ll attend On|Off at the end of the week to bring you some insight report with pics from some runway shows (including the Berlin based Penkov label of course) and deatiled information about what happened and why you should’ve been there.
