MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK BERLIN SPRING/SUMMER 2009

MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK BERLIN takes place from July 17th till 20th at the BEBELPLATZ in the heart of the capital.

When German topmodel Eva Padberg walked along the catwalk at Berlin’s Postbahnhof in her marvellous black robe by ZAC POSEN - all decorated with feathers - the second Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin ended which had seen shows by HUGO, Strenesse Blue, MICHALSKY, JOOP! Menswear and many more.

At 18 shows in total several thousand visitors could admire the latest creations of the designers. Lynn Longendyke, Vice President IMG Fashion: “We are very satisfied with the development of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Our expectaions prepossessed and from our experiences with events around the world like New York we know that Berlin is bound for success. We managed to implement a platform where every designer can find his audience.”

Due to the positive feedback from the branch and the wish to shape the program more compact in the season, IMG will hold the next Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin for spring/summer 2009 from 17th to 20th of July at Berlin’s Bebelplatz. The new date which is in sync with the fashion fair PREMIUM offers some top class program of fair and catwalk shows and strengthens Berlin’s position as a fashion location in the German capital.
