MICHALSKY Boutique Berlin fashion store

Without any ruffle the MICHALSKY Boutique opened it’s doors in April in Berlin.

In times where even the most unknown upcoming designer celebrates the opening of his store with much ado and even if it’s a project whose future is quite uncertain, which doesn’t keep him from calling it a flagshipstore, the Berlin fashion design star Michael Michalsky, who is famed since a long time, did a “soft opening” - without party and champagne. “No, we just unlocked the doors of the boutique!”

In a restored building from the end of the 19th century, located at Monbijouplatz #4 in Berlin-Mitte, the fashionista can find the premiumline MICHALSKY and M-67 Michalsky Jeans for men and women as well as MICHALSKY Eyewear on 1.600 square feet.

Everything is “bona fide” - for example the reason why the designer chose the location “I wanna remind people of the parent houses of the old Paris Haute Couture companies. For that reason i reanimated the term “boutique”. The interior got designed completely by Michael Michalsky. “The red floor symbolizes the passion for fashion and design, the interior is eclectic - just like my collections”. Nothing was left to chance.

Besides of fashion, you can find things which will lighten up the heart of people who love beautiful things. Changing pictures by well-known Berlin gallery Kicken as well as books by Taschen publishers which get chosen by Michalsky personally complete the assortment.

The descision to choose Berlin as location of his boutique was out of question for Michalsky, who propagates fashion from Germany like no other and doesn’t stop praising Germany as “the” location. “Our principal office is in Berlin, our fashion shows take place right here. For that reason it was clear that the first MICHALSKY Boutique had to open in Berlin. This is a dream come true for me”, Michalsky happily announces.

Though no further Boutiques are planned, the expected success of this project will leave enough room to toy with the idea of more boutiques.
