NIKON wins two EISA awards

NIKON again was successful with several of their procuts during this year’s EISA awards.

The NIKON D3 was awarded »European Professional Camera 2008-2009« and even two NIKKOR lenses, the AF-S NIKKOR 14–24 mm 1:2,8G ED and the AF-S NIKKOR 24–70 mm 1:2,8G ED were nominated as »European Professional Lens 2008-2009« by EISA, the European Imaging and Sound Association, which represents 50 Audio, Video and Photomagazines from 19 European countries and therefore is the biggest fusion of independent multimedia trade journals in Europe.

“We are very happy about this recurrent and overall recognition of our developments following this year’s TIPA awards. This two awards motivate us even more to offer the best cameras and lenses in photo industry,” Robert Cristina, Manager Professional Products and NPS at Nikon Europe said in a statement following the prize-giving.

The jury said in their statement: “The Nikon D3 is the first full-frame Nikon and delivers an outstanding picture quality because of it’s big CMOS chip with twelve megapixels. Those big sensor elements guarantee some very small amount of noise at even very high ISO settings. The fast handling and focussing make the D3, in combination with it’s ability to take 9 pictures a second, a perfect camera for action and sports photography, being the perfect allround camera for pro photographers.”

Adjoining the outstanding D3 it were again the lenses, already known for their high quality, who could convince during the contest. The AF-S NIKKOR 14–24 mm 1:2,8G ED and the AF-S NIKKOR 24–70 mm 1:2,8G ED convinced the jury with their high luminosity across the whole zoom range as well as because of it’s high optical quality.

As we as an onlinemagazine always have to care about the loading speed of the site which makes us have to resize the pictures even more than we want, NIKON products are the standard since the beginning of our magazine. We therefore are happy that those high quality tools got chosen by the EISA jury.
