Patentblau Stadtfest outdoor party - a farewell to summer

There are things that you consider being your very own little secret even if it’s the best known secret of the weekend.

Due to the fact that running some news service is more about discovering things than hiding secrets we of course report about one of Berlin’s absolute outdoor highlights of 2007.

Last sunday at noon the leftovers of saturday night, families and friends, people who already had their dose of sleep and partypeople met at some former slaughterhouse in the district of Prenzlauer Berg. About a two minutes footwalk away from the S-Bahn station Storkower Straße it was the perfect place to attend to recharge your party batteries.

The folks at Patentblau had chosen this location for the second consecutive year and somehow must have made a contract with heaven cause after some week with much rain and temperatures falling as low as 50 degrees fahrenheit we were very happy to be there at some comfortable temperature somewhere in the seventies which made me tie my hoodie around my hips and enjoy the (probably) last bits of sunshine this, regarding the weather, very average Berlin year had to offer.

When i arrived at about three pm there were already around 100 people dancing, dringking lying in the grass and i fell in love at once with this very unique location. The drinks were cool, the food they offered was tasty, the lineup of djs great including ion ludwig [alphahouse, underl_ne] axel bartsch [spielzeug, kompakt], matchbox [rotation], tomas fernandez [lzm], erik panzer [barfuss!], martin ez & daniel vague [patentblau] and visual installations by eye q light and tmg & dreamdealer.
