Portishead secret live gig for THIRD
British band Portishead will perform their new album THIRD for the first time live in Berlin on 19th of march.
Geott Barrow, Adrian Utley and Beth Gibbons will perform the songs for the first time ever in front of an audience of 250 fans and members of the press which come from around the world at the historic building of the former radio station of the late GDR, located at Nalepastrasse in Berlin.
The gig will be recorded by Berlin radio station Radio Eins for later transmission. The tickets for this unique show which is the only one worldwide are not for sale and can only be won.
THIRD is the so far third album of the band from Bristol, which fans and press have been longing for since about eleven years. It will be released in Germany on the 25th of april.
PORTISHEAD are the vanguard and inventors of trip-hop who influenced a whole generation of fans and musicians with their special sound.
In april PORTISHEAD will come to Germany for three shows. The concert on the 3rd of april at Berlin’s Columbiahalle is already sold out since weeks. Tickets are still available for their shows at Muenchener Tonhalle (2nd of april) and the Palladium in Cologne (6th of april).
