RheinDesign - Cologne design summer 2007

Five days of design in cologne Rheindesign is a summer festival that focuses on the relationship between design and society.

Posing questions and inviting discussion on such topics as ‘From an idea to a product’, ‘From a product to the design of living spaces’ and ‘From living spaces to the question of how we want to shape our future together’. Let’s emerge from our protective cocoons and take another look at public space. What is the glue that holds us together?

Design has much more to offer than the potential for individualisation and differentiation; increasingly, it is the field that gives meaning to how we shape the future and create the conditions under which we live. Rheindesign aims for an inter-disciplinary modus operandi; it will encompass art, music, literature, architecture and philosophy. The goal is to create an exciting, enjoyable, engaging programme of events with a personal feel. After all, the festival should be bright and cheerful, appealing to all the senses, intellectually inspiring and emotionally moving!

Rheindesign is part of the Cologne International Design Summer 2007. Rheindesign runs from 20 to 24 across the city of cologne.
