Shed is Shedding The Past in September

And, for the first time ever, Shed is playing live and will support “Shedding The Past” on tour across europe.

This latest release stands as another stunning example of both Ostgut Ton’s exquisite taste and Shed’s irresistibly intense techno productions. Straying from the stripped down repetition of label mates Dettmann and Fengler, “Shedding the Past” is the culmination of years spent running his own Soloaction imprint and refining his own immersive and inimitable sound.

There is an element of fate to Shed’s success that befits his laid back character. This easiness appears, to those who know him, to be a natural inner trait with East German born, raised and socialised Shed. Both his musical and social career seem profoundly alive with this inner easiness, that finally and logically caught techno institutions’ Berghain and Hard Wax records ears. As with others of his background, Shed took the opportunities of the early nineties techno culture that unfolded after the Wall went down and developed an approach of “just doing it” or DIY.  With this easiness in mind “Shedding The Past” is just ‘true techno music’.
