Tattoo Convention Berlin 2007
From december 7 to 9 the 17th International Tattoo Convention Berlin 2007 will be hosted at Arena Berlin.
More than 100 Tattoo Artists from all around the globe which includes participants from coutries like Thailand, Poland, U.S.A, Spain, Portugal, Russia, CZ, Samoa, Bosnia Herzegowina, Holland, Hungary, China, France, Uruguay, Great Britain, Austria, Mexico, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Finnland, Brasil, Norway, Luxemburg, Israel, Canada, Tahiti, Croatia will bring some multicultural atmosphere to Arena and show the various cultural influences and special techniques that are part of every culture.
Naturally all the artists use special tools and colors. About 40 makers and dealers of the right tools and colors will be present at the Arena to supply everyone with the right choice of materials and gear.
One of the highlights of the Tattoo Convention Berlin will be the stage contest where tattoos in 15 different categories will be granted prizes in an award ceremony. The categories span across topics like best portrait or best crazy tattoo - just to mention two of the various styles. Just like in previous years, the Tatto Convention Berlin 2007 will see a Tattoo Queen. All women who have at least on tattoo can apply and every one of them has an equal chance because it is not about the number of tattoos - what counts is the overall impression. The ladies will have to appear on stage in different outfits and the winner will be awarded with some free trip to Milan’s 3 day Tattoo Convention in february 2008.
Another part of the convention will be an exhibition about the “sak yaint” buddhist temple tattooing from thailand. Ajarn Sorn will demonstrate the art of tattooing from this faraway exotic place. Back there the artists use the classic tools to tattoo so besides of some great skills on behalf of the artist, the “objects” need to have some very high personal level regarding pain.
