TDK Time Warp 2008 first line-up

TDK Time Warp, the festival for contemporary music and media arts, returns in 2008 taking place from 29th of March to 5th of April. 

Going by the motto “Music connects” the spearheads of electronic music and media art will meet again next year in Mannheim. For the annual Time Warp event taking place on the 5th of April the most important international stars of the club scene will gather at the Maimarkthalle and additionally there are innovative events and concerts at several sensational locations in Mannheim.

Established in 1994, Time Warp has grown into one of Europe´s (also in Prague and Vienna) most important dance events for electronic music.

The three-color symbolism for the identification of individual areas, which has been introduced in 2005, will get an additional contour and differentiation:
in 2008:

Concerts & shows: means all music events and contemporary music concerts within the festival week as well as the legendary Time Warp event on 05.04.2008 in the Maimarkthalle Mannheim.

Lab: combines exciting workshops, seminars and other training opportunities in the field of music and media at the Pop-academy of Baden-Wurttemberg, free admission

Media & arts: includes an ensemble of film screenings and other special events, which are dedicated to the genre-crossing cultural transfer of music and film. Besides of informative music documentaries and a selection of music videos, Time Warp 2008 also presents an expressive range of innovative and ambitious student work.
