UNDESIGNABLE - Design fair Berlin
From November 28 till 30, Berlin again will become the “Mecca” for design lovers and collectors, when Undesignable opens it’s gates.
It is already the second time that Undesignable takes place in Berlin. After it’s last year’s premiere in the dutch design metropole Eindhoven, and the first edition of it’s kind in Berlin in November 2007, the branch met in Amsterdam in May 2008.
On an exhibiton space of around 900 square meters you can find works of famous designers like Mies van der Rohe, Friso Kramer, Jean Prouvé, Arne Jacobsen, Bruno Mathsson, Charles and Ray Eames as well as designs by Joe Colombo and others. Most galleries from Germany, the Netherlands, France and Belgium will be exhibiting their design classics for the first time in Berlin. As the organizer points out, all goods for sale at the fair are originals. No replicas allowed!
The UNDESIGNABLE fair offers a huge selection of objects for lovers of the genre, like exqusit original furniture, lamps, paintings, prints, jewelry as well as decorative objects made out of plastic, glas and ceramic. Designlovers who preference the 40’s till 80’s of the last century might be able to find the piece they’ve been searching for for long, or can enjoy the variety of designs coming from those decades.
The organizer in a statement: “We are happy to organize a design event on an international level, cause most european countries played a leading role in 20th century design.”
From 28th till 30th of November, the UNDESIGNABLE takes place at the Technologie und Innovations Park Gustav-Meyer-Allee in Voltastrasse 5 in 13353 Berlin. While th 28th is reserved for exhibitors, the general public has access on the other days from 11 am till 5 pm.
