Will Smith and Charlize Theron in Berlin for Hancock Premiere
On tuesday the german premiere of Hancock took place, the new Sony Pictures movie starring Will Smith and Charlize Theron.
Hours before the first german vips, which included Rosalind Baffoe-Neef, Minu Barati-Fischer, Wolf Bauer, Michi Beck, Oliver Berben, Quirin Berg, Jeanette Biedermann, Fredi Bobic, Anne Sophie Briest, Maren Büchner, Tanja Bülter, Manuel Cortez, Bettina Cramer, Gesine Cukrowski, Nina Eichinger, Bruno Eyron, Daniel Fehlow, Collien Fernandes, Catherine Flemming, David Groenewold, Thomas Heinze, Nico Hofmann, Marta Jandova, Cherno Jobatey, Franziska Knuppe and many more walked along the red carpet, hundreds of fans had gathered in front of the Cine Star, located at Sony Center on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, and were patiently waiting for Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman.
Directed by Peter Berg, the Sony Pictures movie Hancock sees Will Smith playing the leading role, the superhero Hancock. Life ain’t that easy for Hancock. Due to his quite unsusual behaviour and some disturbing events, the people of LA don’t like Hancock that much. In this darkest hour some pr guy shows up - played by Jason Bateman to offer his help. Again, Hancock causes some confusion as he fells in love with the pr guy’s beautiful wife, played by Charlize Theron of course. Will Smith as Hancock and Oscar winner Charlize Theron do some great acting in this great action comedy and the audience in the cinema had some really entertaining 90 minutes.
When Charlize Theron arrived at around 7.30pm last night on the red carpet to present herself in front of the fans, the audience and the media, the spirits were already high. Because of this very special event she was naturally wearing her little black dress which she, as she revealed in the interview, had chosen especially for Berlin. She said that she is quite lucky to have some fashion designers as friends who always create her some spectacular outfits.
Shortly after Charlize had arrived the highlight of the night had finally come, when the Prince of Bel Air - Will Smith entered the scene. From the very first second the admired actor spread some great mood, gave loads of autographs and spent loads of time with his fans, which made the persons in charge of the time table a little nervous. When being asked about his fabulous suit which fitted perfectly he told the media that his wife always takes care about his outfits because she has a great sense of fashion. He just wears what she lays out on the bed for him. Will, who normally has an answer to every question acted quite surprised when some reporter asked him about when he’ll have his next charthit. He said that he’s focussing on acting at the moment and that it is quite unsure about when he’s going to record another record. To give him some inspiration, the friendly reporter gave him a single as a present by a german band called Modern Talking and Will promised to check it out. Chances are that poor Will will be really surprised about this kind of german music that is quite different from what the average american music fan is used to…
Bofore Charlize, Will and Jason finally went to see the movie, they got interviewed by german presenter Kai Pflaume in front of the cinema. One of the topics dealt with the european soccer championships and Will seemed to be goog informed, cause he said that he knows David Beckham quite well. The final highlight of this interview was when Will put on the dress of the german soccer team which had “Hancock” printed on it’s back.
Hancock comes to the german theaters on the 3rd of July. Some impressions of last night’s event can be found in the gallery as well as in the video below.
