Catz n’ Dogz “Stars of Zoo” is the debut from Polish duo Greg and Voitek on Mothership released on October 6, 2008.
If you listen to techno then you already know of the Polish duo called 3 Channels, with amazing EPs on labels ranging from Crosstown Rebels to Trapez to dirtybird.
Now, the masterful Polish duo of Greg and Voit have developed a new name Catz n’ Dogz with a completely original sound. Their debut album “Stars of Zoo” is a hybrid masterpiece; a beautiful cross between the best elements of deep house, minimal techno, and cinematically arranged live instrumentation.
This is an album of songs – not tracks! Yet each individual segment of the album ‐ from the lush sonic soundscapes of ‘Sunset in the East’ to the complicated spirals of ‘2’ – reveals new delightful details upon each listen.
Catz ‘n Dogz have created a sound that is at once timeless and contemporary, respecting techno’s past by keeping their sights firmly set on its future.
