Cocoon Compilation Drei
Sven Vath´s Cocoon label releases the third label compilation called “Drei” with selected Cocoon tracks of the year on April 4, 2008.
For the third time now, Next Generation host Chris Tietjen compiles the best Cocoon releases of the year on one CD and succeeds in providing a mix that is summerizing the party highlights of the last year in a perfect way. With three artists albums, the Compilation G and numerous 12"es, Cocoon has again set standards in 2007 and is also planning a lot for 2008: besides the upcoming Minilogue album, there is also an album from Extrawelt in sight. Besides the big hits ("Unreliable Virgin”, “Hunter” or “Horizon"), Chris has also includes some flip side pearls ("My Cube” or “Alpha Blend") to the CD, and delivers an impeccable 70 minutes set that elegantly steps on the border between House and Techno. Nonchalantly he opens with Martin Buttrich`s “Hunter”, continues with shooting star Lucio Aquilina and developes a driving and groovy atmosphere up to Pig&Dan´s “Sly Detector”, which marks an emotional highlight before he closes the mix with Adam Proll´s “Elevator”, Joel Mull´s “Harmonautic String” and Jacek Sienkiewicz´s “Good Luck”. A very atmospheric and competently made mix with carefully chosen highlights!
