Style Of Eye - Duck, Cover and Hold

Style Of Eye releases Duck, Cover and Hold on John Dahlbäck´s Pickadoll label on September 4, 2008.

Linus Eklow aka Style Of Eye has been described as the new sultan of Scando techno. He is no stranger of today´s underground dance scene. He started out working in the studio in the late 90ies and began to develop his unique style of music with releases and remixes on such prolific labels as Classic Recordings, Tiny Sticks and Rabid Records - to name just a few - or most recently on Dirtybird and Pickadoll, where he´s now putting out his debut album aptly named Duck, Cover & Hold. His understanding of electronic music goes far beyond stereotyped thinking as you can tell from going through the list of different labels he has released on. And this is the exact vibe that makes this longplayer what it is: a very personal and outstanding interpretation of contemporary techno and house music.

Linus melts down electrish bleeps, hysteric synthezisers, raw percussions, minimalism, big mouthed basses and soulful chords in order to create this club destroying monster album. Crystal clear trance moments alternate with deep house grooves and hysteric and pumped up peaktime parts while he is always keeping an ironic distance with silly melodies and sounds. Another characteristic and important point when describing Linus‚ style is the high level of professionalism that is involved. Just take the EQing of his sounds, the super accurate use of SFX in his tracks or the perfectly timed and ultra tight arrangements as examples and you will know how much dedication and work he is putting into his art. This shit is advanced! And it´s still his debut longplayer… so there is no need to tell: watch out for Style Of Eye, he is about to blow up in a very major way in 2008.
